The continuous growth in popularity for iPads and Smart Phones throughout the world is a testament to what our current generations search out and latch onto: technology. New technologies are constantly being invented and refined, and the automobile industry has to keep up with these trends. That's why Toyota has decided to partner with technology giant Intel to create a new automotive infotainment platform. Although the details remain vague about the under-wraps project, Roberts Toyota can tell you that the new, integrated technology will, in the words of Toyota,"target appropriate methods of providing information to drivers through in-vehicle systems, as well as information technologies that would enable seamless communication between on-board information systems and nearby information systems."1
In simpler terms, the new system will allow for better communication between cars and their drivers, with less distraction for the drivers. The two companies are working together to do research on vehicle-driver technologies that are less invasive to the driving process. Other research will revolve around integration between drivers' lives outside and inside of the vehicle, including aspects of their homes, schedules, and social lives.
These new technologies are exciting to Roberts Toyota. We can't wait to see what the final results will be! Right now, we're also excited about the launch of the new Toyota Etune system, which utilizes a driver's smartphone to connect to several very cool applications and is available in the new 2012 Toyota models. Come check out this new technology today at 1027 Nashville Highway Columbia, TN 38401. We also currently have an amazing selection of used cars as well. Call (888)832-4027 for more information.
