Japanese automaker Toyota may be primarily concerned with building and producing automobiles, but the company is also very concerned about the world around us. In partnership with Audubon, a second-century conservationist organization, Toyota has launched TogetherGreen. One of the latest TogetherGreen projects is the Spring Greening Challenge, a Facebook application that showcases data about making green choices around your home, weekly conservation challenges, and opportunities to win prizes.

When Toyota first launched the Toyota Prius family in the U.S. in year 1997, most of the world didn't realize that it was seeing the emergence of what would become one of the hottest trends today in automobile technology: hybrid power. Toyota has kept with its commitment to exploring and producing fuel-saving technologies over the years- continuing to produce various hybrid and Plug-In vehicles. This year and in the coming years, the Japanese auto brand plans to continue that trend by selling "tens of thousands" of hybrid vehicles by the year 2020- one of the most ambitious "green" plans in the industry.
