2017 Toyota RAV4 vs 2017 Nissan Rogue

Sport utility vehicles have so much to offer to drivers from all walks of life that it is no wonder they are so popular these days. Think about it: If you have a sizeable family, like to take wilderness treks, or anything else that requires a lot of horsepower and cargo capacity, an SUV is one of the best options out there. Crossover models take things a step further in terms of efficiency and maneuverability, and they have become wildly popular over the years. Whether you are a single driver or part of a family, SUVs and crossovers have so much to offer in terms of versatility, and when you are trying to find the right one, certain aspects are going to be of the utmost importance. Let’s take a look at the 2017 Toyota RAV4 vs the 2017 Nissan Rogue.

Toyota and Nissan are two of the top automakers worldwide, and each vehicle is a fine example of what makes for a quality crossover. The RAV4, however, stands out in a few key areas.

More cargo and towing capacity with the RAV4

Among the most important aspects of a crossover or SUV model that are appealing to drivers are the cargo capacity and towing capacity. After all, these vehicles are meant to be able to handle full lives and adventurous spirits, so you need to be sure that it can fit a number of different cargo items. When the second row is folded down, the RAV4 can fit up to 73.4 cubic feet of cargo inside of it, edging out the maximum cargo capacity of 70 cubic feet offered by the Rogue. On top of  that, the 2017 RAV4 base model can tow as much as 1,500 pounds behind it. The 2017 base model Rogue, on the other hand, can tow 1,000 pounds. Imagine how much more you can bring along on a weekend trip to the cottage with that additional 500 pounds.

Perhaps the RAV4 can tow that much more because of the 176-horsepower engine, which again edges out the power output of the Rogue. More power, more cargo room, higher towing capacity—the 2017 Toyota RAV4 has you covered for adventures in the city and wild alike.
