Deciding between the trims of any vehicle can be difficult. It’s important to know which features are absolutely required, and which you can negotiate on. The 2019 Toyota Sequoia has 4 different trims; the SR5, Sport, Limited, and Platinum. In order to help you decide which trim suits you best, we’ll be looking at the lowest and highest trim of the Sequoia; SR5 and Platinum.
While all of the trims do have the option of all-wheel drive, we are going to be looking at the specs and features of the 2-wheel drive options. Specifically, we will be looking at comfort, convenience, and technology features of both trims. This way, you’ll be able to see how the base trim compares to the top trim, and which one you’d be more likely to get based on what you are looking for in a vehicle. Now, let’s take a look at what you can potentially have on your future Toyota SUV.
As you can see, there are a variety of differences between these two vehicle trims. While you can have a navigational system in the Sequoia, it doesn’t come standard in the base trim, while it does come standard in the Platinum trim.
When it comes to seating and seating capacity, you’ll be looking at the difference between cloth seats and leather seats, with leather seating on the highest trim and cloth on the lowest. However, if you need a higher seating capacity, then you might actually want to go with a lower trim, since the SR5 can seat 8 people, while the Platinum seats 7. This is the same with the standard towing capacity. The SR5 can tow 7400 pounds, while the Platinum can tow 70000 lbs.
So, if you want more comfort, convenience, and technology features, you might want to go with a higher trim. However, if it is seating and towing capacities you are looking for, you might want to go with a lower trim.
Hopefully this has helped you decide which trim is right for you. if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us here at Roberts Toyota. We will be happy to help!
