When you’re choosing between the nine trim levels of the 2020 Toyota Highlander, refer to this page. Below, we try to help you make your decision by discussing three main areas of importance. Ask a sales representative for more information.
The 2020 Toyota Highlander has nine trim levels, four of which are hybrid vehicles. The full list of 2020 Toyota Highlander trim levels is the L, LE, Hybrid LE, XLE, Hybrid XLE, Limited, Hybrid Limited, Platinum, and Hybrid Platinum.
Fuel economy may be one of the deciding factors in which vehicle you decide to buy next. Luckily, the 2020 Toyota Highlander keeps things simple with just two different fuel economy ratings between the nine different trim levels. To keep things even more simple, you can just remember that the hybrid trim levels all have one EPA-estimated fuel economy rating, and the non-hybrid trim levels have another.
The hybrid trim levels have an improved fuel economy rating, unsurprisingly. This stems from their ability to regenerate power when you brake. The fuel economy ratings of the 2020 Toyota Highlander trim levels are as follows:
21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway for the L, LE, XLE, Limited, and Platinum
36 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway for the Hybrid LE, Hybrid XLE, Hybrid Limited, and Hybrid Platinum

Comfort features change a lot between the trim levels two. There are three different types of seating materials available for the 2020 Toyota Highlander. The high-end trim levels, namely the Limited, Hybrid Limited, Platinum, and Hybrid Platinum, come with leather-trimmed seating and heated and ventilated front seats.
The XLE and Hybrid XLE trim levels come with SofTex ®-trimmed seats and heated front seats. Their seats are not ventilated, which means that they don’t have an interior cooling system. However, the material is high-quality and comfortable.
Moving down the ranks, the L, LE, and Hybrid LE trim levels come with standard fabric-trimmed seating. They do not offer heating or ventilation.
