Model Highlights

The sedan offers two available engines: a 3.8-liter V6 and a 4.6-liter V8. The 3.8 produces 290 hp, while the 4.6 makes 376 hp. Both engines utilize continuously variable valve timing and four valves per cylinder. The Genesis utilizes a 6-speed automatic transmission and Shiftronic manual shift mode for more control over the gear changes. Both the Genesis 3.8 and 4.6 have standard electronic stability control, ABS with brake assist, advanced dual front airbags, front and rear side-curtain and side-impact airbags, and tire-pressure monitoring. The 4.6 adds standard traction control. Inside, the 3.8 has leather seating, heated power front seats, dual-zone climate control, XM radio, and steering-wheel mounted audio controls, all standard. The 4.6 starts with a few extras, like a power sunroof, 18-inch wheels, proximity entry and push-button start. The Premium package for the Genesis 3.8 adds a sunroof, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a Lexicon 14-speaker sound system, and more. Premium Plus gets 18-inch alloy wheels. The Technology package for both sedans includes a 17-speaker system from Lexicon with DVD, XM NavTraffic with one-year subscription, HID headlights, front and rear parking assist, rear backup camera and a cooled driver's seat.
